Breathwork for the Heart

Rediscover, or discover for the first time, your body as a safe haven, as healer and as healed. Practice allowing the breath practice to peel back the layers and hold all the parts of ourselves. In this class we will use the breath to practice radical self acceptance via the breath pattern. You will be guided into a sense of trust and safety through surrender, from the survival brain into the surety of your heart and body brain.

Breathwork is an active meditation that by occupying the mind creates space for the body to release somatic holding, to experience emotion that might not be available at the surface and to access intuition and insight. This is your practice and I encourage everyone to breathe at a pace that feels right for you and to use this practice as a container of self holding, self listening and self care. Breathwork can be helpful if you have been feeling stuck in any area of your life, it is a powerful and practical tool to work with your own energy, a bridge out of the critical mind and into deeper resources available to all of us. After Breathwork sessions people usually leave saying they feel energized and lighter, however this is an active practice that brings up emotions and can bring up memories, if you are working with traumas you may want to check in with your therapist first and you are always welcome to reach out with further questions.
